I love twisting in yoga.  Not only does it feel good, but deep twists such as Sage Pose, Chair Twist, and Half Lord of the Fishes Pose, stimulate your brain and digestive system.  They also help to relieve lower back pain and eliminate fatigue.  As with most poses, make sure to elongate your spine first, then twist.  The longer the spine, the more room you will have for the twist:-)
